Michael G. Ronstadt and I are completing a new recording project! We're hoping to have it available this fall. It's full of new songs, written separately and together, as well as some older stuff we hadn't gotten around to recording until now. And one cover song... Lots of cello. I like it. I hope you will too. We're booking some dates for this fall to promote it.

The EP's almost finished! I've been working with my friend and producer, Phil Henry, who's making these tracks sound fantastic. Phil's an incredible singer-songwriter, and I'm honored he put so much TLC into this project. I've got a nice batch of shows shaping up for late spring and summertime - check out the gigs page. The new four-song EP is coming together well... The few folks that have heard the tracks have been very positive. More information to come soon. As we work on finishing it up, I'm actively booking for the spring and summer. And I'm participating in my fifth straight February Album Writing Month, working to write 14 songs in 28 days. I'm working on song #9 now, and I've already taken some of the new tunes out for a spin at area open mics....
I've got a new recording project in the works. This EP will be my first new studio recordings in more than five years, featuring some songs you've come to love from my live shows. Produced by a good friend who's also an accomplished songwriter. Details to come, we're still a ways from completion, but I like how things are coming together.

Falcon Ridge was a blast. I took in some great music -- Jimmy LaFave, John Gorka and Tracy Grammer, to name a few -- and played at the Budgiedome (thanks Gordon), the Acoustic Live Stage (thanks, Richard) and some great song circles at campsites around the fest grounds (thanks, Phil!). A week earlier was SolarFest, where I participated in the songwriter competition, and watched my friend Gary Moon take third place. I made a nice bunch of new friends there.
Aaron is one of 10 finalists in the songwriter showcase at SolarFest... The showcase is Saturday, July 17 at noon at the Forget-Me-Not Farm in Tinmouth, Vt.

My dear friend and co-writer Dale Kidd passed away on December 12. He was a fabulous writer, a virtuoso guitar player, a great vocal harmonist and a gentle soul. He was an inspiration to countless Wisconsin musicians. I'll miss you...
